Andrew is nearing completion of 'Summit 8000 - the Grand Slam of Mountaineering', his quest to climb all fourteen of the world's 8000 metre peaks. <Further details>
In June 2008 Andrew returned from the Himalaya where he climbed Mt Makalu, the world's 5th highest peak and the 13th summit in his project to climb all fourteen 8000 metre mountains. With just Shishapangma to go, he is one step from achieving Australian mountaineering history. <Further details>

In addition to his other charitable fundraising work, Andrew was recently appointed an official ambassador of the Sir David Martin Foundation, a non-profit organisation created in 1990 by the late Governor of NSW, Sir David Martin, who had a dream of "safety, hope and opportunity for all young Australians". The Foundation is run by a team of passionate staff and volunteers who raise money to fund programs that work to better the lives of youth in crisis www.sdmf.org.au
